Prior to taking new headshots for Burns Scalo, they were taking photos of new employees in from of a window in their office. This caused company headshots to be inconsistently lit, with a background that changed with the weather and season.
To address these issues, we took photos of two well-lit, attractive spaces in one of their new properties. The photos were slightly blurred to simulate a short depth-of-field effect, and printed on cloth backdrops. We set up the photo stations in an unfinished room, out of direct sunlight at the hours scheduled for the session, and used studio lights to produce consistent, well-lit portraits.
Stations A and B had separate backdrops so there would be a slight variety in image backgrounds while remaining consistent in lighting and depth.
